Happy Spring! The Trails are Open! Remember to renew your membership for 2012 now. Clink on the link below to download the form: Please note the new link to the left to view the last month's meeting minutes. Spring Clean-up Days: May 19th/20th: 9:00am for the trails off Ridlon Rd. Meeting place will be the parking area near Keay Brook. Please bring your machines and/or trailer if you have one. Rakes and gloves will be helpful as well. Trash bags will be supplied. NOTE: If you can only make one clean-up day, please try to come to Hatfield Pond on either Saturday the 19th or Sunday th 20th, even if just for an hour or two. These trails and the pit areas will require extensive work and are a priority for keeping our landowner relationships in good standing. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Hope to see you all at the meeting. Have a great day and ride safe. Going forward this year: All riders will need to read and sign a Release/Waiver of Liability Form before each event. (click here to read and/or print the form to bring with you) A Parental Consent form will also be required for each minor (under 18) riding in the event. (click here to print the form to bring with you) Minors between the ages of 10 and 18 who are riding their own machine will be required to show proof of completing a safety class or a valid driver's licence at time of registration. Forms will be provided at the ride if you are unable to print one. NEWS On 3/22/12, Mike Lanouette, Bill Watters and Ed Coleman taped a show with Bill Greene for The Bill Greene's Maine Show about "mud season" trail closures and trash dumping issues. They also taped a piece for the part of the opening he will be using on all his future shows. This is positive press for ATVer's in general and also for the club. Click here to view the video Reminder Please keep in mind that when riding on the club's trails, your machine must be registered as an ATV in the state of Maine. Per some land owners' request, you must also be a current member of any ATV club. You may be stopped and ask to show proof of your membership, so please carry your current membership card when riding the trails. Please see the link above to join the SMATV club if you do not already belong to a club. This does not apply to the power-line trail.
